Visiting Enomoto: a must-visit in Tokyo! Like Sanjūsangen-dō (三十三間堂) for Mini 4wd. The store, amazing. Kose/Enomoto machining tools, spectacular. They have everything imaginable for serious racers. Shinnosuke Ikegami was so patient with me! But, Enomoto-san the man, THE BEST. As I understand it, for over 30 years he has promoted Mini 4wd development and racing. I was lucky enough to visit the Enomoto circuit shop on the day of large speed races, which I have never seen before. The racing was the fastest stuff I've seen, but the hospitality of Enomoto-san and the racers was overwhelming! Timed runs were between 14-16 seconds for most competitive cars, I tried my FMAR with sprint-dash, (plus all damper weight) and was nowhere near competitive level- at 19.5 seconds. Battery and motor handling was most differen and sophisticated- employing "delta charge" techniques- right up to the start line. Next time I return to Hachiochi, I will have a high-speed car ready to try and race!
